As a New Orleans native, I fell in love with our city at an early age. Everywhere I go, as an artist, I feel an inspiration to paint our beautiful city. I started painting around 2003 with no formal training in fine arts. I did attend workshops with renowned and local artists, but it was Larissa Clevenger who I found the most intriguing. She made acrylic paint dance on your canvas. Her knowledge for drawing was unmatched by anyone in my mind. Her classes were most informative and I learned a lot.
Now as an avid fisherwoman, I take a lot of pictures of our boating adventures. The wildlife, the waterfowl, the sunlight dancing on the water, and the breeze blowing in the marsh all inspire me to paint. Life is good.
