My art background began when I was 4 or 5 years old. My parents encouraged me by requesting me to draw pictures for them. Drawing was always my favorite activity. I loved cartoons and was influenced by artist like, Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, Mort Drucker, and Jeff MacNelly. I then took a few commercial art courses from Joseph Hunt, who introduced me to painting and painting techniques.
Drawing and painting was a way to relax after working in the real world. After I retired from my day job I took more time to paint and decided to join the Metairie Art Guild to associate and network with other artists.
